A message from Superintendent Monica Anzo
Dear Alisal Union School District Parents and Guardians,
As your new Superintendent, I am absolutely delighted to extend a heartfelt welcome to you and your children as we prepare for an exciting new school year! Having served our wonderful district for 25 years, I deeply understand the vital role our families play in the success of our students, and I am truly honored to lead our community forward.
This year, our guiding theme is "Cultivating Our Future: Rooted in Community, Growing Together." This theme beautifully captures the essence of what makes Alisal Union School District so special and highlights our collective aspirations for every child.
Our district is profoundly "Rooted in Community." This means that the strength of our schools comes directly from the vibrant connections, shared values, and unwavering support of families like yours. Your involvement, your trust, and your partnership are the fertile ground from which all our students' potential can grow. We cherish the rich history and diverse cultures that make our Alisal community so unique and powerful.
While we look ahead, our focus is on "Cultivating Our Future" and "Growing Together." This journey involves all of us – our dedicated educators, our supportive staff, and most importantly, you, our families. When we work hand-in-hand, nurturing our children's curiosity, fostering their talents, and providing a safe and enriching environment, we help them blossom into their fullest potential. Every step we take together, every challenge we overcome, contributes to a brighter future for your children and for our entire community.
We are eagerly anticipating the return of our students! The first day of school for all students is Tuesday, August 5th.
We encourage you to connect with your child's school for specific information regarding schedules, classroom assignments, and any school-specific welcome events. Our school teams are ready and excited to partner with you to make this a successful and joyful year for every student.
I am incredibly optimistic about the growth and achievements we will witness this year when we are all "Cultivating Our Future" and "Growing Together." Thank you for entrusting us with your children's education. Your partnership is invaluable, and together, we will ensure that every student thrives.
We look forward to a wonderful year of learning, discovery, and growth!
Warmly,
Monica Anzo
Superintendent

It is a three-year, district-level plan that is updated annually. The plan describes the school district’s key goals for students as well as the specific actions (with expenditures) the district will take to achieve the goals and the means (metrics) used to measure progress. The LCAP addresses the needs of all students, including specific student groups, and all districts must specifically address English learners, foster youth, and low-income students. In addition, the LCAP must address the state of California's eight priority areas that include student academic achievement, school climate, student access to a broad curriculum, and parent engagement. 2025-26 Local Control Accountability Plan — English 2024-25 Local Control Accountability Plan — English 2023-24 Local Control Accountability Plan — English 2023-24 Local Control Accountability Plan — Spanish 2022-23 Local Control Accountability Plan — Spanish 2022-23 Local Control Accountability Plan — English ESSER III Expenditure Plan 2019-20 Update (English) 2019-20 Update (Spanish) 2017-2020 Local Control Accountability Plan — English 2017-2020 Local Control Accountability Plan — Spanish Budget Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs) Single Plans for Student Achievement (SPSAs) Arts and Music in Schools Funding (VAPA) Alisal Union School District 155 Bardin Road, Salinas, CA 93905 Phone: (831) 753-5700 Fax: (831) 753-5709 Social Media Links Facebook Instagram Twitter YouTube Edlio Login Powered by Edlio Non-Discrimination Statement Alisal Union School District prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and bullying in all district programs, activities, and employment based on actual race, color, ancestry, national origin, nationality, ethnicity, ethnic group identification, age, religion, marital or parental status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, or any other legally protected status; the perception of one or more of such characteristics; or association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics.
