Since I have worked with Ana for quite awhile, I now understand that the skills we have worked have improved my overall life. I have had issues in the past with my lower back. I am still very careful to make sure I am not injuring my back, but the exercises that I dislike the most have built up my core muscles and I am not complaining as much as I used to complain when those exercises are scheduled. I am 66 years old so my body has been around the block! I am also overweight but have been trying to lose weight for the past year. Ana has been very encouraging as I work through my weight loss. Meet Your Trainers Juan Cofounder, Personal Trainer/Soccer coach Hi, I am Juan! Fitness was initially brought into my life through sports as a child playing soccer and baseball. My love for the game followed me through college where I played as a DV-1 athlete. Later on, I passed my love for the game on to others as a high school soccer coach. Today I work one on one with individuals to take their game to the next level. Besides my work as a soccer coach, I’ve also worked in the corporate world. Here I had the first-hand experience of the pitfalls that sedentary work has on the body. I had become inactive and overweight, I knew I needed a change. This time I went to the gym to implement a consistent and rigorous strength and cardiovascular routine. After a year's time, I was able to lose a remarkable 85 lbs. This turn in my life had brought me full circle and back to my original passion of being healthy and active. I decided to become NASM certified personal trainer and I couldn’t be happier! Now I use my passion and experience of 17 years to help others make the change! I am experienced in soccer, baseball, weight loss, lean muscle mass building and toning, strength training, endurance training, functional training, and senior fitness. I train all levels of fitness and all ages. Ana Cofounder, personal trainer/Nutritional Specialist Hi, I’m Ana! My experience in fitness began 10+ years ago with my own struggle to lead a healthy lifestyle after an unhealthy weight gain of 50 pounds! The process to begin an active lifestyle wasn’t easy but I kept at it, and before I knew it, I was hooked! I became active on a daily basis and my personal fitness had become my highest priority. In time I noticed the positive effects of fitness in ALL other areas of my life; my professional, family, and personal life all began to flourish! Originally from the Bay Area, I returned home in 2013 to finish my degree and be with my family. While completing my Bachelors degree in Communication at UC Davis, I wanted a rewarding job with flexibility as well as the opportunity to stay active. I decided to pursue my personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine(NASM) and found this career to be the perfect fit! Today I continue to grow my knowledge of fitness and wellness and am an American Council on Exercise(ACE) Nutrition Specialist, a NASM specialist of Women’s fitness as well as certified in the field of Sports Injury. What began as a part-time job helping others achieve their goals while doing what I love had become a full-time career by the time I graduated. During the course of over a decade of fitness experience I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of individuals with a wide range of abilities, needs and goals, that challenge me as a trainer and keep me looking forward to doing what I do every day! While I train all levels of fitness and all ages my area of expertise is womens fitness, especially during pregnancy and menopause. Bita Personal Trainer Bita brings over 20 years of coaching experience and a deep passion for movement, learning, and child development. Her athletic journey began at just four years old when she joined a run club in her hometown of Rasht, Iran. She went on to compete for seven years at the regional and provincial levels, eventually breaking a national record in the 1500 meters while on a track and field scholarship. Bita earned her Ph.D. in Sport and Exercise Physiology from the University of Guilan in 2019, building on her Master’s in Physical Education and Bachelor's degree in Biology. She started coaching at a small gym in Iran and quickly discovered a lifelong calling in helping others grow stronger, more confident, and more connected through movement. Since 2017, Bita has been a valued coach at Berkeley Youth Gymnastics, where she brings international experience, boundless energy, and a nurturing spirit to every class. Her background also includes roles as a university professor, fitness head coach, physical education teacher, and development specialist. Outside the gym, Bita loves hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending time outdoors. She believes that movement is a universal language, and she’s always excited to help kids find their own rhythm. Jessie Personal Trainer Jessie is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Power Yoga Instructor (E-RYT 200), and group fitness coach based in the Bay Area. After a career in graphic design, she transitioned into fitness in 2018 and has since taught a variety of formats, including HIIT, Strength, Yoga Sculpt, and Power Yoga. She also holds certifications in Yoga Sculpt (50-hour) and CorePower Strength X. Drawn to athletics from a young age, Jessie ran Cross Country in college and later discovered that strength training was the key to faster recovery, injury prevention, and long-term resilience. She believes movement is a lifelong tool for physical and mental well-being and that fitness should adapt to support all stages of life—from pre/post-pregnancy, middle age, and beyond. Jessie creates a supportive and motivating environment where clients feel strong, confident, and capable in their bodies. When she’s not coaching, she’s often planning her next trip, coffee in hand, and spending time with her family, cat, and French Bulldog.
