However, we’re happy to set up a quick meet-and-greet in the front yard before your dog’s stay. Please give us a call to schedule this! My dog has never been boarded. What do you recommend? For first-time boarders, it’s important to understand that boarding can be a big adjustment and may feel stressful or overwhelming for some dogs, especially if they’re not used to being away from home or around other dogs. To help ease this transition, we recommend scheduling a "test" boarding night before committing to a longer stay. This allows your dog to get a feel for the environment and helps us understand their needs. While we do our best to create a safe and nurturing space tailored to each dog, it’s worth considering if boarding is the right fit for your pet, especially if they’re prone to anxiety. For the well-being of all the dogs in our care, we cannot accommodate dogs that experience high levels of anxiety. How many dogs do you take at a time? Our comfy home only takes about 8-10 doggies per day. We keep small groups in order to provide a laid-back and cozy environment for all our guests. Do you separate the dogs while feeding them? Absolutely! We want to make sure they eat their own food! Also, some dogs have food aggression and do not like other dogs to be nearby when eating. For everyone's safety, we feed each dog separately and individually. Will you crate my dog, and do I need to bring a crate? No, we provide a crate-free home and do not require your pet to be in a crate. However, if your pet enjoys their crate, we have three crates here to be borrowed while they are here with us but please make sure to double check they are available. Do I need to bring my dog's food and water bowl? Don't worry about bringing bowls from home—we have plenty of food and water dishes available for your dog. Additionally, we kindly ask that you do not bring any personal items, such as blankets, toys, or other belongings, as these can get lost or damaged during your dog’s stay. Rest assured, we’ll provide everything needed to keep your pup comfortable and happy! Where will my pet sleep? Your dog will have a cozy and comfortable space to sleep that matches their routine at home as closely as possible. Whether they’re used to a crate, a dog bed, or a specific setup, we’ll do our best to replicate that for them. While we no longer allow dogs to sleep in our bedroom, we ensure they have a safe and relaxing area to rest, surrounded by comfort and care.
