The firm invests in visionary founders building innovation across the industrial supply chain — particularly in construction, manufacturing, transport & logistics, and energy & renewables. OVERVIEW A fundraising pitch for their second fund Through our work together, they not only crafted a tight and compelling narrative that helped them close $100M, but we also uncovered a broader opportunity to translate Ironspring Ventures’ corporate narrative (core story) into a refreshed website. The result was a consistent, founder- and LP-facing brand that reflects Ironspring’s unique sector focus and operational edge. OBJECTIVES Craft a compelling story of digital industrial innovation A core story would capture why their focus mattered and how their operational edge created outsized value. There was no existing pitch structure or internal messaging framework to build from, which meant the story had to be uncovered from scratch. Through our discovery process, it became clear that Ironspring had a compelling and differentiated approach — they just needed the right lens and language to bring it to life. During our time together, the Ironspring team showed up ready to do the work. They were thoughtful, responsive, and collaborative throughout the process, trusting Creative Blue to guide the way. SERVICES A full rebuild of their fundraising materials including a live + leave-behind pitch deck and a teaser for warm intros and outreach. Discovery We began with a comprehensive brand audit, diving into Ironspring’s existing materials — including their AGM presentation, Fund I decks, and early internal positioning documents. This allowed us to understand both the assets they had and the gaps that needed filling. In parallel, we conducted a market and competitive analysis, benchmarking Ironspring against peer firms and examining broader trends across the industrial innovation space. At the heart of our process were a series of collaborative working sessions with the three co-founders and a key investor. Development Building on this foundation, we began crafting Ironspring’s core story — a clear articulation of why Ironspring, why now . We translated these ideas into a pitch BLUEprint: a structured, working draft that served as the strategic spine for the deck design. Along the way, we also surfaced language, phrasing, and visual cues that felt distinctly “Ironspring.” That process of defining their voice ultimately inspired their decision to extend Creative Blue’s engagement beyond the pitch itself, refreshing Ironspring’s website to reflect their sharpened brand identity. Delivery With strategy and narrative in place, we brought the final pitch deck to life — visually and verbally. The design added clarity and momentum to complex ideas, ensuring the deck would resonate whether presented live or shared digitally. The end result included a final, investor-ready presentation and one-pager — tools that not only helped close Fund II, but laid the groundwork for a cohesive, confident brand presence across Ironspring’s communications. RESULTS The work we did together helped Ironspring Ventures close their $100M Fund II in June 2024. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive — from LPs, Founders, and Ironspring’s broader network. The pitch helped spotlight macro tailwinds and past performance in a way that felt both strategic and timely. For Founders, the messaging hit home: Ironspring’s operational expertise and deep networks weren’t only value-add — they were directly relevant to the challenges industrial startups face. The work also clarified and codified how Ironspring talks about itself, whether with investors, industry partners, or potential portfolio companies. The finalized visual style and messaging sparked an additional engagement to overhaul their website, supporting content strategy, design, and development to match the clarity and conviction of their new story. Their cloud-based platform enables use cases ranging from product authentication and interactive packaging to recycling sortation, retail operations, industrial automation, media verification, and digital security. OVERVIEW A brand story overhaul -prompted by a series of new products Digimarc came to Creative Blue with a common challenge: their solutions were powerful but multifaceted, making it difficult to tell a core story that was both compelling and easy to follow. With so many applications across industries, their messaging often felt either too broad or too technical — leaving potential customers unclear on the value Digimarc could deliver for them specifically. Creative Blue helped Digimarc bring coherence and clarity to a complex, multi-layered offering. OBJECTIVES Message clarity: Who is Digimarc? What do they do? And why does it matter? While the company had decades of innovation behind it and a growing range of use cases, their core story lacked a cohesive thread — one that could resonate internally and externally, across audiences and applications. One of the primary goals was internal alignment. The leadership team wanted to unify around a single, consistent narrative and brand messaging that the entire organization could stand behind. This would serve as the basis for clearer communication across marketing, sales, product, investor relations, and more. But the challenge was nuanced. Digimarc’s technology, while powerful, tends to lose its value when oversimplified — and yet, when explained in full technical depth, risks confusing or overwhelming potential customers. Add to that a wide range of industries and use cases, and the result was highly individualized sales conversations, fragmented web messaging, and customers who only understood Digimarc through the narrow lens of their own use case. Digimarc also had a broader vision: to be seen not only as a solution provider for a single problem, but as a platform powering multiple solutions — enabling richer oversight, stronger connections, and deeper insight into customers’ businesses. That platform-level ambition further raised the stakes for getting the story right. SERVICES Our engagement with Digimarc centered around building a core story From that story, we developed a comprehensive messaging document designed to guide communications across teams, use cases, and audiences. Discovery Given the scope of the engagement, we kicked off with a robust discovery phase. This included a comprehensive brand audit and a thoughtful series of 1:1 and group sessions with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. To keep momentum high, we also utilized alternative discovery methods that allowed us to gather meaningful insights in short windows of time. At the heart of this phase was the creation of a findings & insights document — a synthesis of recurring themes, diverse perspectives, and honest reflections. It became one of the most powerful outcomes of the project: a clear-eyed view of how the company was perceived, and where the most compelling opportunities existed to evolve that perception. Development Before putting pen to paper, we explored multiple concepts — distinct narratives that paired early language and visual components to help the team tangibly experience different directions. This approach fostered alignment and energy before locking into a final direction. Once the team aligned around the core narrative, we developed the final core story and began building out a strategic messaging framework to support it across key audiences and use cases. Delivery We delivered a comprehensive messaging playbook that was utilized as a central resource for company-wide communications. It contained the core story and all the strategic messaging components for internal and external channels, and became the unified brand message and voice across company marketing initiatives. RESULTS The messaging playbook was met with strong internal support. But the work didn’t stop there. After seeing the potential of a more unified narrative, Digimarc re-engaged Creative Blue to help with product naming. We extended the story deeper into the platform and reinforced a structure where individual offerings felt intuitive, connected, and aligned with the company’s broader vision. The messaging we developed is now reflected across Digimarc’s website and customer-facing materials. Even visual concepts that were originally intended for internal exploration made their way into public-facing channels — a testament to how deeply the work resonated across the organization. What began as a search for clarity became a strategic realignment that’s helping Digimarc tell a sharper, more consistent story at every level. OVERVIEW Re-energizing a mission-driven brand With a decades‑long track record of impact, Summer Search had a strong mission and an active community, but their branding and digital presence hadn’t kept up with the organization’s evolution. Their messaging felt fragmented. Their site no longer reflected the sophistication and scale of their work. And their digital footprint, from social media to partner communications, needed consistency, energy, and strategic lift. After their internal efforts had stalled, Summer Search approached Creative Blue with a clear request: Not a full rebrand. No reinvention. They wanted to refresh their brand identity that reflected who they are today, while at the same time honoring their legacy and the core of the brand that was already built. OBJECTIVES Translate their story into a brand system that reflects their mission and the work they do Summer Search tasked Creative Blue with four core needs: Refresh their visual identity and messaging without abandoning the equity in their legacy brand. Unify their story across audiences: students, alumni, donors, partners, and internal stakeholders. Rebuild their website into a modern, user‑friendly, conversion‑focused experience that aligned with the new message and mission. We identified the need to align their visual identity, sharpen their language, and build a messaging platform that could communicate across multiple channels while staying true to their core mission. Development We crafted a cohesive brand story that honored the organization’s legacy while positioning it for future growth. The newly designed website became a user-friendly hub for storytelling and engagement. We translated the 2024 Alumni Survey into a powerful visual infographic that now supports donor communications and outreach. In addition, we built a scalable social media system that empowers internal teams to share meaningful content with consistency and strategy. Delivery Creative Blue delivered a modern brand experience that aligned Summer Search’s internal mission with its external presence. They brought in Creative Blue to help elevate the narrative and execution around this event, ensuring that the message landed with clarity, energy, and strategic purpose. OBJECTIVES Create a virtual experience that felt engaging and effective. We had worked with Smartsheet on their Sales Kickoff (SKO) previously, focused on executive keynotes for the CEO, CFO, CMO, and visual support for a couple breakout sessions. But this year was unique, Smartsheet was transitioning to a fully virtual format — a shift driven by circumstance but seen as an opportunity to reimagine the experience. They didn’t want another passive Zoom session. Instead, they wanted to recreate the energy, connection, and momentum that typically comes from being in the room together. The goal was to create a virtual experience that felt engaging, human, and intentionally designed — not just informative, but energizing. That’s where Creative Blue came in. Together, we landed on a talk show-style format: one that blended strategic content with music, entertainment, and comedic relief, while also giving employees a candid, inside look at executive conversations and company direction. Each segment was built to serve a purpose — and collectively, they added up to an SKO that felt cohesive, fresh, and genuinely impactful. SERVICES Discovery To make Smartsheet’s virtual SKO truly engaging, Creative Blue partnered closely with internal teams, production leads, and external event vendors to shape a dynamic, fully produced experience. We landed on a talk show-style format — complete with music, entertainment, comedic elements, and behind-the-scenes executive conversations — designed to be as compelling and polished as a late-night broadcast. Development Filming took place on-site in Seattle over a three-day shoot. Leading up to it were months of prep: bi-weekly and weekly standups, breakout sessions, and collaborative workstreams that shaped everything from theme to tone to technical delivery. A large portion of the success hinged on messaging — not just what was said, but how it was framed, sequenced, and delivered. It needed to feel authentic, consistent, and motivating across every executive segment. Delivery Creative Blue facilitated strategy and content development for each “keynote” — building fully produced scripts and messaging frameworks that worked within a natural, conversational dialogue. OVERVIEW A fundraising pitch for their Series B Akido Labs came to Creative Blue through a referral from the former CEO of Notable Labs, a longtime client we had supported through multiple fundraising rounds and various communication and design needs. As Akido prepared for their own Series B, the team knew their pitch needed sharpening. The story they were telling didn’t yet reflect the full scope of their innovation — or the scale of the opportunity ahead. OBJECTIVES Effectively communicate an opportunity within the challenging application of AI in healthcare Akido Labs was preparing to raise their Series B and needed a pitch that could convey the scale of their ambition. With a new focus on a specific application of their AI technology — one with the potential to push them from profitable startup to unicorn territory — the team recognized that their existing pitch didn’t fully reflect the depth or urgency of the opportunity. They were entering a crowded space, where hype around AI and healthtech was at an all-time high. The challenge was to strike the right balance: conveying technical credibility, real traction, and an executable vision, all without overwhelming or alienating potential investors. Complicating matters further, their target investor pool included audiences with widely varying levels of familiarity with healthcare and artificial intelligence. Akido came to Creative Blue looking for clarity, cohesion, and confidence — a pitch that could simplify complexity without losing nuance, and leave investors energized by the scale of what was possible. Delivery We shaped the narrative, structured the story, and designed visuals that helped communicate both the opportunity and the edge, giving the Akido team a deck that felt tight, confident, and true to what made their company different. We ensured that there was adequate rehearsal time to coach them through presenting. More than a hand-off of a deck, we wanted the team to feel confident delivering the pitch live. RESULTS Akido Labs successfully closed their $60M Series B. This was a milestone that marked a major step forward in scaling their platform and care delivery model. OBJECTIVES Build a founder-focused brand and story that leans into community When Peter Boyce II set out to launch Stellation Capital, he wasn’t just starting a new fund — he was formalizing a reputation and philosophy he had already been quietly building.
