Meet our Dedicated Team of Doctors Dr. Daniel Nam Dr. Daniel Nam earned his BA in Piano Performance from UCLA in 1996 before graduating from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2002. He currently has private practices in both San Francisco and Oakland. Since 2003, Dr. Nam has also served as the Director of Dental Services at the Berkeley Free Clinic, where he provides care to homeless and low-income families. ​ In addition to his private practice, Dr. Nam is a staff dentist at Alta Bates Medical Center, working with the Emergency Department, ICU, oncology, and rehabilitation departments at both the Summit and Ashby campuses. He also serves as a clinical faculty member at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where he teaches on Monday evenings. ​ Dr. Nam is passionate about alleviating dental pain, trauma, and anxiety, always striving to provide compassionate care. A devoted UCLA sports fan, he enjoys playing tennis, golf, and piano in his free time. Dr. Jennifer Hom Dr. Jennifer Hom earned her B.S. in Microbial Biology from UC Berkeley before completing her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, in 2014. She then pursued a General Practice Residency at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, CA. ​ During her residency, Dr. Hom discovered her passion for community health and spent six years serving at a community health center in Fresno. In 2021, she relocated to the Bay Area, where she embraced the opportunity to provide compassionate, high-quality dental care at Just Health 510. ​ Outside of her professional work, Dr. Hom enjoys crafting, exploring new restaurants with her family, and spending time outdoors with her dogs. Dr. Christine Nguyen Dr. Christine Nguyen was born and raised in the Bay Area and earned her B.S. from UC Berkeley before receiving her D.D.S. from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. She completed a general practice residency at the VA Dental Clinic in Sacramento and continues to stay up to date with advancements in dentistry through ongoing education. Dr. Nguyen also speaks Vietnamese. ​ Dr. Nguyen first worked alongside Dr. Daniel Nam at the Berkeley Free Clinic while attending UC Berkeley, and later joined his private practice as a dental assistant before beginning dental school. She has also volunteered with Dr. Nam at California CareForce clinics, providing care to underserved communities across the state. ​ Known for her gentle touch and commitment to patient comfort, Dr. Nguyen strives to deliver personalized, high-quality care. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, playing sports, trying new recipes, and participating in local community service events. Our Dental Services Explore our comprehensive range of dental services designed to elevate oral health and overall well-being. From advanced diagnostics to personalized treatment plans, we are dedicated to enhancing smiles and promoting long-term oral health. General Dentistry We recommend biannual exams and cleanings to maintain oral health and catch issues early. Some may need more frequent visits to prevent and manage gum disease. New patient visits include a full exam, cleaning, x-rays, and treatment planning—usually in about an hour. Implants Dental implants are a lasting, reliable way to replace missing teeth. Surgically placed roots support custom crowns that look and feel natural. As the gold standard for tooth replacement, they restore both function and appearance. Invisalign Invisalign clear aligners are a discreet, comfortable, and effective way to straighten teeth. They’re removable, affordable, and great for all ages. If you want to improve your smile or confidence, Invisalign is a convenient, nearly invisible alternative to braces. We offer two advanced whitening systems. ZOOM! Whitening requires one two-hour visit to our office and can whiten teeth up to eight shades. Opalescence Go Teeth Whitening is available in prefilled whitening trays to be done in the comfort of your own home. Teeth Whitening Dentures We offer both full and partial dentures to our patients. We work closely with several denture labs to create dentures that look natural and fit comfortably. Dentures can also be stabilized with implants at our office. Payment Options INSURANCE We're proud to be in-network with Delta Dental Premier, Cigna PPO, and Aetna PPO. Most non-HMO or Denti-Cal plans let you choose your dentist, but out-of-network visits may affect coverage. We’re happy to verify your benefits or you can contact your provider directly. HEALTHY SMILES For patients without insurance, we offer Healthy Smiles, an affordable in-house membership plan. For a low annual fee, you'll receive two free checkups each year, along with exclusive discounts on all other treatments. It's an easy way to keep your oral health on track while saving money.
