We also chose to work with Gordon because he took the time to explain everything properly on our phone conversation and then followed that up with a free in person consultation.! When we met him, we had over 30 questions. He again took the time to politely explain everything in detail to us and additionally explained the full content of his program as well. Our rescue dog Stevie had a few challenges - Leash Biting , Counter Surfing , Lunging Forward On The Leash and wasn’t Crate Trained but Gordon assured us we could bring them all into line with the content of his Obedience Program. The program was four weeks long and contained 8 x 1 hour sessions, two sessions a week for the four weeks. Gordon comes to you ( very prompt ) he encouraged us to video record the entire session. When the session was over, Gordon emailed us very detailed handwritten training notes. Here’s something that we really enjoyed. Gordon encouraged us to send him short training videos. In our recent session Gordon had Theo walking over aluminum foil and parchment paper. He needed to experience the new and strange sounds and textures and be okay with them. Next there was seeking food rewards in and around bottles of water - so to reach the food he had to knock the bottles of water over and remain calm while he ate them. Because Theo is still a baby, he isn’t allowed to go on walks in the neighborhood yet and experience all these new stressors, it’s really important to me that he have foundation and confidence when we finally can experience the “real world”. Our session ended with an enrichment puzzle that was full of great rewards. Theo jumped all over it, pushing, sniffing and clawing at it with his paws. He had a great time.!! Throughout the training, Wyatt sent consistent updates, pictures, and videos, which really helped me feel calm and reassured knowing Blaze was in good hands and making progress. When it was time for Blaze to come home, Wyatt went above and beyond. When I finally got my dog back, he was honestly like a completely different dog—more obedient, focused, and responsive.
