I completely understand the imposter syndrome and fear of disappointing our family when going after our dreams. This is how it’s looked for me as a first-generation immigrant woman of color: Honoring the sacrifices made before me: I’m a first-generation Filipino immigrant. My dad immigrated to Central-California to be a grapevine worker. For me, it’s about honoring the sacrifices made before me so I can have this privilege of choice to have a business. Community First: Prior to being a coach, I had 7 years of experience as a former grassroots organizer and fundraiser where I raised $3 Million. This experience helped me to understand the power of listening, relationships , and community, which explains why 90% of my business comes from referrals and renewals. Trauma-Informed Certified: I am NOT self-made. I’ve learned to ask for help from my own coaches, therapists (I love EMDR therapy ), and my team . In 2021, I became Trauma-Informed certified to hold safe space with clients. As people of color, we are constantly having to navigate systemic barriers, cultural expectations and personal challenges. Working with Teams: I’ve unfortunately faced workplace bullying and miscommunication. In 2024 I became a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation, and now I’m working towards my Team Coaching. I work with teams to grow a business by having conscious conversations, and achieve sustainable results through a trauma-informed space. Raising $8.2 Million in Student Scholarships: I successfully pivoted industries becoming a nonprofit fundraiser where I raised $8.2 Million in Community College Scholarships. At the same time I also receivedI received my Masters of Science in Leadership and Management at the University of La Verne. Continuing to Create Sustainable Results: In 2024, we celebrated 7 years in business serving 11k+ clients who created products and services in 58 different countries.
