Meet Our Team Jonathan Low, DDS Associate Dentist Dr. Jonathan Low was born and raised in Stockton, California. He received a bachelor’s degree at The College of Idaho. He then went on to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry. Dr. Low is a third generation dentist within his family. His grandpa, father, uncles, siblings, and cousins all became dentists with Dr. Low being the eleventh member of thirteen dentists in the family. He found he wanted to become a dentist at the age of six and pursued dentistry his whole life.  Dr. Low enjoys doing oral surgery, root canals, implant restorations, bridges, and biomimetic restorative dentistry. Featured Staff Ryan Mui, DDS Owner, General Dentist Dr. Ryan Mui was born and raised in the Bay Area. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry where he graduated as valedictorian. He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Phi Kappa Phi, and Tau Kappa Omega Honor Societies. Dr. Mui believes in offering patients conservative, evidence based dentistry, with a focus on biomimetic restorative methods. He is always growing his repertoire with progressive techniques to allow for the best treatments possible for his patients. He values building high quality relationships through education and communication with his patients. Alexander Lew, DDS Associate General Dentist Dr. Alexander Lew received his DDS degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2019, and completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the VA Hospital in Loma Linda California. Dr. Lew’s clinical skills and proficiency includes but are not limited to Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Restorative Care such as same-day crowns, implant crowns, bridges, veneers, partial and complete dentures. Meet Our Team Jonathan Low, DDS Associate Dentist Dr. Jonathan Low was born and raised in Stockton, California. He received a bachelor’s degree at The College of Idaho. He then went on to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry. Dr. Low is a third generation dentist within his family. His grandpa, father, uncles, siblings, and cousins all became dentists with Dr. Low being the eleventh member of thirteen dentists in the family. He found he wanted to become a dentist at the age of six and pursued dentistry his whole life.  Dr. Low enjoys doing oral surgery, root canals, implant restorations, bridges, and biomimetic restorative dentistry. He enjoys dentistry so much that you can even find him catching up on dental videos or literature while on vacation. Outside the office, Dr. Low enjoys playing pickleball, bowling, shooting (former trapshooting competitor), attending Kpop concerts, and watching Korean dramas. A native of Sunnyvale, Jessica enjoys spending free time with her family. Lydia Financial Coordinator As our financial coordinator, Lydia is well-versed in any matters that relate to dental insurance or financing the cost of dental care. Over the last 25 years, she has taken numerous courses devoted to insurance processing and financial arranging and processing. Lydia is the helpful team member you turn to with all of your insurance and financial questions. Lydia joined Gorrell Smiles in 2014 and loves everything about working here including the ease of working as part of our team, the patients she assists, and her ability to use her skill to make the office run more smoothly.  A native of Middletown, RI, Lydia enjoys traveling and cooking and is an avid reader in her spare time. Celia Treatment Coordinator Celia joined the dental field in 2021. She started off as a patient at this office and has worked hard to learn the ins and outs of the practice. She recently earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Palo Alto University, and hopes to become a Forensic Psychologist. In her free time, Celia loves to read, watch documentaries, listen to music and going to the gym. Lillian Registered Dental Hygienist Lillian attended Foothill College and Carrington College and has been with Gorrell Smiles since June 2018. She enjoys spending time with all of her patients educating and collaborating with them to help improve their oral hygiene routine. Lillian also appreciates working in a dental practice that welcomes ideas from the entire team and works together to make them happen. She values the team support and creative feedback that helps her improve her work and her patients’ experiences. Lillian was born in the Philippines and raised in San Jose. She enjoys spending spare time with family and friends, going out to museums, theme parks, and tourist attractions. Hope Registered Dental Hygienist Hope has been working in the field of dentistry since 2002 and has been a part of the Gorrell Smiles dental team since 2015. She attended Carrington College and received an Associate’s degree in dental hygiene in 2011. Hope truly loves her work, and she has a heart for every patient that she treats. She feels especially satisfied when she can help a patient overcome a previous negative memory of dentistry and help them feel comfortable and happy to be receiving care. A native of Wuhan, China, Hope attended Wuhan Conservatory where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and Dance in 1992.
