Represent The Yard at community events and promote membership opportunities to local residents and businesses periodically throughout the year. Facilities Maintenance* Prepare for upcoming classes during your shift by setting up equipment and ensuring the studio space is clean and ready for use. Straighten racks and equipment to ensure a tidy and safe workout environment. Monitor music levels to ensure an enjoyable atmosphere for all guests. Monitor air quality and temperature to maintain a comfortable workout environment. Wash, dry, and fold laundry to maintain clean and organized workout towels and linens. Stock restroom supplies, ensuring that all amenities are readily available for guests. Check trash cans throughout the facility and empty them at the end of each shift to maintain cleanliness. Bring in trash cans from the curb on Wednesday mornings after pickup. Monitor and empty the dehumidifier as needed to maintain optimal humidity levels. Clean Recovery Area (Sauna + Cold Plunge) after each use and prepare for the next guest. Qualifications Ability to learn and use operational systems such as Mindbody, Slack, Kisi, and Sonos. Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of cleanliness and organization. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with fitness equipment and terminology is a plus. Where are you located? San Francisco : Monday to Thursday 6:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday 6:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Mill Valley: Monday to Thursday 5:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday 5:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Do I have to make a reservation? Yes. Reservations are always required for both pod bookings and classes. Each appointment lasts 60 minutes. You’re welcome to warm up and cool down in our turf area for 15 minutes before or after your reservation. Do you offer drop-ins? Yes. You can purchase a Drop-in Pass for $39.99. A reservation is still required. We recommend downloading The Yard app for the easiest purchasing and booking experience. Not sure if strength training at The Yard is right for you? Book a complimentary 30-minute Guided Training Session with a staff member at our SF location where you’ll receive a barbell-centric workout along with an overview The Yard and our services. What happens if I miss my scheduled session? For Individuals: You’re able to cancel your reservation up to 60-minutes before your scheduled session. If you realize you’re not able to make it to your scheduled sessions and it’s within that 60-minute window, please text us at (415) 212-8739 and we’ll cancel on your behalf with no penalty or help you reschedule for a later time. If you completely miss your reservation with a drop-in credit and do not contact us, your session and credit are forfeit. If you completely miss your session as a member, you’ll receive a reminder text requesting that you cancel your session to free up a pod for others to use. If you repeatedly miss booked sessions, your account will be charged a $39.99 drop-in fee, as outlined in your contract. For Trainers: Our primary policy is that if you don’t get paid, we don’t get paid. If your client cancels at the last minute, please cancel the session as soon as you know about the cancellation. You’re able to cancel right up until the session start time. Doing so is considered an “early cancel” and the credit is automatically returned to your account. If it is after the start time, or a “late cancel,” we will refund the credit to your account unless we are otherwise fully booked at your start time and the missed session has prohibited someone else from booking the pod. Please note, you are responsible for alerting us to your client cancellations. If we were not fully booked during that time, we will refund the credit to your account retroactively, at management’s discretion. (edited) What happens if I break my 12-month membership? When you sign up for a 12-month Individual Unlimited Monthly Membership, you’re entitled to a 20% discount. You’re charged monthly on your purchase date. In the event that you need to break your contract, you’ll be charged the discount that you received. For example, if you completed 3 out of the 12 months, that means you received 3 months worth of discounts off the full price. We’ll charge your credit card that discounted amount. (3 x $52 discount = $156) There are no additional penalty fees. Can I work out with a friend? It depends on your membership. Two is the maximum number of people we allow to work out in a pod at one time, plus a personal trainer. Our Drop-in permits you to bring a friend to work out with in the pod, while our Partner Unlimited Membership allows you to each book your own pods when working out at separate times. Individual Unlimited Monthly Members are not permitted to bring a guest. ClassPass users are not permitted to bring a friend to class. How do I get started? We recommend downloading The Yard app (or you can book online ). Once you’ve created an account and successfully logged in, you can buy packages, book pods and classes, and manage your account. [email protected]. Why is the front door locked at different times? We are a small team and the front door is occasionally locked during unstaffed hours. To gain entry, download the Kisi app . When you have the app installed, enter your Yard/Mindbody email to receive a sign-in link. For the manual sign in option, use “goyard” as your organization domain. To use when the door is locked, simply hold your phone up to the reader at the front door. Do I need to check in? Our goal is to ensure that every visitor to The Yard (members, trainers, and trainer clients) has their liability waiver signed in our Mindbody system. If a staff member is present on your first visit, they will greet you and make sure you have your waiver signed. If no staff member is present in San Francisco, sign in on the iPad. After your first visit, you’re not required to sign in. Can I get a tour? Yes. Tours and info sessions can be scheduled by emailing

A pod is your very own workout space that comes equipped with a squat rack, plates, bench, and dumbbells with fan bikes and rowers near each station. You are welcome to bring other equipment like kettlebells and bands back to your pod. We ask that you return all equipment when you’re finished. Do you accept ClassPass and Wellhub (FKA Gympass)? Wellhub users book Pods and Group Classes through The Yard app and check in on their Wellhub app upon arrival. At this time, ClassPass can only be used for Group Classes. How do I get a personal trainer? You’re welcome to reach out directly to any of our independent personal trainers that you see listed on the Find a Trainer page or follow the steps on the page if you’d like assistance being placed with a trainer. Can I bring my dog? We love your furry friends, but we do not allow dogs at either studio. What inspired The Yard? As a former college football player, weightlifting had been a fundamental part of Joe Cicero’s life for over 20 years. Led personal trainers Ross Dempsey and Darioush Ebadat , the PRC puts strength training into motion. Ross and Darioush blend strength training for runners with expert coaching in running mechanics, cardiovascular conditioning, and marathon and half-marathon preparation. The result is a supportive San Francisco running community that helps members run stronger, faster, and stay injury-free. Benefits of Strength Training for Runners Increased power and speed Strength training can help runners generate more force with each stride, which can lead to faster running times. It can also help runners use less energy and improve their running economy. Improved form Strength training can help runners improve their balance, stability, and posture, which can lead to better running form and faster times. Weekly Runs You’re invited to join PRC for one of our weekly runs! We start with a pre-run stretch, then head out for a fun, social run. As a beginner in all things weights and someone who finds weight racks intimidating, this class is a great way to get guidance from really knowledgeable trainers. Here are answers to the most common questions we get about The Yard Barbell Club so you can feel confident walking in on day one. I’ve never used a barbell before. Can I still join? Absolutely. In fact, many of our members have no barbell experience. Our coaches teach proper form, technique, and progression so you build strength safely and confidently from day one. What makes this different from a regular gym? Every session is coached, structured, and programmed for results. You’ll follow progressive strength cycles inside a motivating group environment: no guessing, no wandering around, no wasted time. What kind of results can I expect? With consistent attendance (2-3x/ week), our Members typically see measurable strength gains within 4-6 few weeks. Expect improved muscle tone, better posture, increased confidence, and real progress in lifts like squats, deadlifts, presses, and more. What should I bring?
