We are champions for children—driving extraordinary care to help families today while fueling research, discovery, and improvements in our health care systems for a better tomorrow. Support Extraordinary Care Fuel Innovative Research Drive Health Care Systems Change Support Extraordinary Care Our donor community powers exceptional care for all local kids and moms at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, where more than 40 percent of patients rely on public insurance. At the same time, our hospital offers cutting-edge therapies for children and families from around the country who need highly specialized care. But world-class, family-centered care is about so much more than addressing immediate medical needs. It’s also about giving every child and family the personalized care, social support, and services they need to reach their full health potential. For some kids, music-assisted therapy and Packard Paws facility dogs support healing and spark moments of joy. For families, connections to essential resources—lodging, meals, and even diapers—allow them to focus on being there for their sick child. Our goal is to ensure nothing gets in the way of healing. 8,000 kids receive in-patient treatment annually 4,000 babies are born in the hospital annually 48 states Patients come from all over the U.S. and nine other countries Designed to let kids be kids Born with half a heart, Tyler is thriving thanks to the supportive environment at Packard Children’s Hospital. Give to the Children's Fund Your gift will support undercompensated care, innovative research, and family and community services at our hospital. Donate Fuel Innovative Research We fund research that challenges the boundaries of what’s possible, empowering innovators to make discoveries that will transform the way we care for moms and kids in our community and around the world. Our donors help harness the potential of Stanford—where clinicians collaborate with basic scientists, geneticists, and bioengineers—to advance children’s health for patients with the most acute needs. Children and families at our hospital have access to more than 450 clinical trials , many of which have gotten off the ground thanks to the support of our generous donor community. Every day, we drive research to tackle the hardest problems in children’s health. Therapies of the future Stanford faculty like Dr. Crystal Mackall are changing the way we treat childhood cancer. Give to the Children's Fund Your gift will support undercompensated care, innovative research, and family and community services at our hospital. Donate Drive Health Care Systems Change One in five children in the United States has a special health care need—a physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional condition that requires more than routine health services. These are the same children and youths who receive their care at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and at other children’s hospitals nationwide. These kids and their families face a highly complex system of health and social services, often with limited access to specialists and preventive care, leaving them at higher risk for poor health outcomes and increased health care costs. We use grantmaking and advocacy to drive changes to the health care system, improve care coordination, and support meaningful engagement with families of children and youth with special health care needs.
