Magnolia School District is proud to announce that two District employees have been selected as honorees for the 2026 Orange County Music and Arts Administrators Awards (OCMAA), recognizing their exceptional leadership and commitment to Arts education.
Presented annually by the Orange County Department of Education in partnership with the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, the OCMAA Awards honor educators, administrators, and advocates across Orange County who champion high-quality Arts education and expand access to creative learning opportunities for students.
Dr. Frank Donavan Receives 2026 ACSA Region 17 Dr. Janice Billings Award

For the second year in a row, Kindergarten students at Disney submitted names for the beloved baby eaglets. Last year one of the names they submitted, Sunny, was selected. This year both of the names they submitted were chosen.
Brittany Walters Named Finalist for State Teacher of the Year
The Magnolia School District proudly celebrates Mrs. Brittany Walters, Kindergarten Teacher at Dr. Peter Marshall School, for being named one of six Teacher of the Year finalists for Orange County that will move on to the State level.
On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Mrs. Walters was surprised with the announcement in her classroom by staff from the Orange County Department of Education, along with her family, school and District staff. The celebration reflected not only her achievement, but the profound impact she makes in the lives of her students each day.

Other highlights included a Father-Daughter Dance, student-led literacy fundraisers, Kindness Week activities, a “Lunch With a Loved One” event, a Kids Heart Challenge promoting wellness and service, and a solar cooker project that brought science and engineering to life. On Friday, March 20 the school buzzed with excitement as students in grades K–6 proudly presented their innovative LEGO creations during our Cycle 2 STEM Showcase. TK proudly showed off their use of Scratch Jr during the event. The morning truly was a celebration of creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning. Our Expanded Learning Program (ELP) provides free child care to eligible students in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade. Activities include academics, homework help, physical education, art, and much more. The program operates Monday through Friday until 6:00 PM, and during winter, spring and summer breaks The schedule is flexible and free meals and snacks are provided. The District employees approximately 916 talented and dedicated certificated and classified staff who are committed to inspire ALL students to extraordinary achievement every day. Presented annually by the Orange County Department of Education in partnership with the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, the OCMAA Awards honor educators, administrators, and advocates across Orange County who champion high-quality Arts education and expand access to creative learning opportunities for students. Magnolia Honorees Katie Brown, Principal Dr. Jonas Salk Elementary — Elementary Site Administrator Award Katie Brown is honored for her leadership and advocacy as an elementary site administrator who actively supports and promotes the Arts as an essential component of a well-rounded education. Her commitment ensures that Visual and Performing Arts remains accessible and valued within the school community. Esther Han, Magnolia School District Music Teacher — Vocal Music Elementary Award Esther Han is recognized for her excellence in elementary vocal music instruction and her ability to inspire students through meaningful, engaging music experiences. This account will be used for the yearly Parent Data Confirmation process.  The Parent Data Confirmation process is required every school year your child is enrolled in our District.   If you already have a Parent Portal account proceed to Step 2 .   To create a Parent Portal account proceed to Step 1 . STEP 1: Creating an Aeries Parent Portal Account and Linking your Student Go to https://magnoliasd.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx (will open in a new tab). Click “ Create New Account ”. Select " Parent/Guardian" , then click " Next" . Enter your email address in the first two boxes, then choose a password and enter it in the bottom two boxes. Then, click " Next" . Aeries will send a confirmation email to the address you listed. Copy the Email Code to use in the next step and then click the “Confirm This Email Address” link in the email to verify your account. In the Email Verification screen, Enter your email address , and Email Code from the previous step then click " Accept " . Click on " Return to Login Page" . Log in to Aeries using your email address  and password. (Keep this information in a safe place because it will be used every year). The next page will ask for information about your student to tie them to your account. Families received a letter with this information.  If you did not receive this letter please contact your child's school office.  You will need the following information to continue. Student ID Number Verification Code Primary Phone On the next screen, Aeries will list the contacts associated with the student. Select your record from the list and click "Next" . You now have an Aeries Parent Portal account linked to your student. Go to Step 2 to complete the Data Confirmation. STEP 2: Completing the Data Confirmation Once logged into the Aeries Parent Portal, you should see a yellow banner stating , “You have not yet completed the Student Data Confirmation Process.” Select the " Click Here" link to begin the Data Confirmation Process. Review and update tabs 1 – 9 You must click the “Confirm and Continue” button after each tab in order to save the information to continue. Go to https://magnoliasd.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx (will open in a new tab). Family Information Family Information is Step 1 of the Data Confirmation process for the Foster Survey, Military Survey, and Residence Survey. Icome Household size and Monthly Income Information Student Review and update, if necessary, the following fields: Parent/Guardian, Mailing Address, Residence Address, Phone Numbers, Education Level, Records Release. Contacts On this tab you can delete or add new contacts and/or update for the current year. Medical History All students must have current information on this tab.  If your child has no medical conditions, please select "N/A" . Insurance Info Update current medical insurance. Documents Click on each PDF document to review and print.  Click on the check box under each document to acknowledge that you have read the document. Both completed documents must be returned to your child's school .  If you are unable to print these forms, you may request paper copies from the school office. Authorizations Read each authorization and indicate your response in the Status column and click "Save" at the bottom of the screen.
