Monrovia, CA – Monrovia Unified School District is proud to announce that seven of its schools—Bradoaks Elementary Science Academy, Clifton Middle School, Mayflower Elementary, Monroe Elementary, Monrovia High School, Plymouth Elementary, and Santa Fe Computer Science Magnet School—have been named among the U.S. News Best Schools for 2025! This prestigious recognition underscores the excellence of Monrovia Unified schools and celebrates the unwavering dedication of our educators, students, and entire school community. U.S. News evaluated more than 47,000 public elementary schools, 23,000 middle schools, and 17,000 high schools nationwide to determine this year’s rankings. Elementary and Middle Schools were assessed using a variety of metrics, including students’ proficiency in mathematics and reading, as measured by state assessments. Notably, half of the ranking formula focused on the results themselves, while the other half considered performance in the context of socioeconomic demographics. This approach underscores the success of schools that achieve high academic standards while ensuring the success of all students. High Schools were evaluated using six key indicators of quality: College Readiness, Breadth of Curriculum, State Proficiency Tests, Underserved Student Performance, Graduation Rates, and Overall Student Performance. Monrovia Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Paula Hart Rodas shared her pride in this district-wide accomplishment: " Congratulations to all of our schools recognized in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Schools rankings! This honor is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our students, teachers, staff, and community. Together, we are fostering an environment of excellence, innovation, and opportunity—ensuring that every student is prepared for success. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved and excited about the bright future ahead for Monrovia Unified. " Monrovia Unified celebrates this outstanding achievement and the ongoing efforts across the district that make it possible. Please join us in congratulating Bradoaks Elementary Science Academy, Clifton Middle School, Mayflower Elementary, Monroe Elementary, Monrovia High School, Plymouth Elementary, and Santa Fe Computer Science Magnet School for their hard work, innovation, and commitment to educational excellence.
