Angela is fantastic! I reached out to her for help with shoulder and hip pain and she not only efficiently addressed those to issues, but did so in a way that was squarely anchored in my broader health and mobility goals. Can't recommend her highly enough!
John Hoback

Angela's passion for the profession and her clients progress is unmatched; supplementary to the service she provides. Highly recommend!
Angelo
I came to Angela with a years-long ankle injury that frequently led me to wearing a brace. She located the issue, set me up with a program and 6 weeks later my ankle feels waaaaaay better! No more pain, no more brace. Super professional, incredibly knowledgable and worth it.
Brandon Lee
Dr. Angela is fantastic! I came to her suffering from back pain which was keeping off my bike, and affecting my daily life. After 6 sessions, my pain is gone, and I’m feeling stronger and more balanced in my body. She was fantastic in adapting and scaling the workouts to my needs, first focusing on reducing pain, then building strength to keep it away. Can’t recommend her enough!
Nick Boccignone
Angela is the best! Helped sort out a knee issue and got me back running within a couple of months. She gives lots of at home exercises / doesn't push coming in to see her more than needed. Just finished my second half marathon since working with her a year ago.

FAQS
Common questions about working with Odyssey
How is cash-based PT different from insurance-based care?
Cash-based care means longer sessions, more one-on-one attention, and a plan built around your goals, not insurance limits. You'll get the time and focus you need to actually make progress.
Can I keep training while I work with you?
Absolutely. We believe in active solutions that help you keep moving safely, not restrictions that tell you to stop. We'll modify as needed and build you back up.
Do you accept insurance?
We're cash-based, but we provide superbills you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We also accept HSA and FSA payments.
How long does treatment typically take?
It varies based on your goals and situation. During your phone consult and first visit, we'll give you a clearer sense of what to expect.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Bring any relevant imaging or medical records if you have them, and come ready to talk through your goals.
STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?
We're here to help. Reach out and we'll get back to you within one business day.

Berkeley Oakland Emeryville Frequently Asked Questions Common questions about sports physical therapy at Odyssey Performance PT. Can I keep training while recovering from an injury? In most cases, yes. We help you modify your training so you can stay active while your body heals, rather than stopping everything and losing progress. How is sports physical therapy different from regular PT? Sports physical therapy focuses on returning you to the specific demands of your sport or activity. We assess movement patterns, build sport-specific progressions, and help you train smarter to reduce setbacks. How long does recovery typically take? It depends on your injury, goals, and how your body responds to treatment. We build a clear plan during your first visit and adjust based on your progress, so you always know what to expect. Just finished my second half marathon since working with her a year ago. Eli Ross Angela is fantastic! Whether you're in Oakland, Berkeley, Piedmont, or beyond, we're here to support your movement journey. Berkeley Oakland Emeryville Frequently Asked Questions Common questions about performance training at Odyssey Performance PT. Is performance training the same as personal training? Not quite. Performance training combines movement assessment, corrective work, and strength coaching with a focus on long-term resilience and injury prevention, not just getting a good workout. Do I need to be recovered from injury before starting performance training? Not necessarily. Many people start performance training as a natural progression from physical therapy, or we can address lingering issues while building your training program. How do you decide what programming is right for me? We start with an assessment to understand how you move, what your goals are, and what's been limiting you. From there, we build a plan that fits your schedule, training style, and body's needs. Can performance training help if I feel like I'm always dealing with small aches? Yes. Often those recurring aches come from gaps in strength, movement quality, or load management. Performance training addresses the root issues so you can train more consistently. What should I expect in a typical session? Sessions include movement prep, skill work or corrective exercises, strength training tailored to your goals, and education so you understand the why behind what you're doing. Still have questions? Questions about whether performance training is the right fit? We're happy to talk through your goals. Contact Us Ready to train smarter and build for the long haul? Whether you're in Oakland, Berkeley, Piedmont, or beyond, we're here to support your movement journey. Berkeley Oakland Emeryville Frequently Asked Questions Common questions about injury prevention at Odyssey Performance PT. How is injury prevention different from physical therapy? Physical therapy helps you recover from an existing injury. Injury prevention is proactive care to address vulnerabilities before they turn into problems, so you can train more consistently. Do I need to be injured to benefit from injury prevention? Not at all. Injury prevention works best when you're healthy and want to stay that way. It's about building resilience and addressing small issues before they become big ones. How do I know if I need injury prevention or performance training? There's a lot of overlap. If you're focused on staying healthy and consistent, injury prevention is a great fit. If you want to push performance while building resilience, performance training makes sense. We can help you decide. Can injury prevention help if I keep dealing with the same issue over and over? Yes. Recurring issues often mean the root cause hasn't been addressed. We look at movement patterns, strength gaps, and training loads to figure out why things keep flaring up. How much time does injury prevention take each week? It depends on your schedule and goals. Some people integrate injury prevention work into their existing training, while others dedicate specific sessions. We'll help you find what fits your life. Still have questions? Not sure if injury prevention is the right step for you? Let's talk through your training and goals. Contact Us Ready to build resilience and train without constant setbacks?
