Our programs will prepare your child for kindergarten and for life. We offer a Full Day Program, Half-Day Program, and days per week may be customized to meet parents’ needs. We serve children 2 to 6 years old. Our academic programs are taught in English and Chinese and all levels are welcome. We offer additional enrichment classes such as Spanish, dance, and music that give our students a chance to explore their unique interests and talents. School Schedules Extended Days 8am to 5:00pm ; Full Days 9am to 4pm; Half Days; After Care 5pm to 6:30pm Hot Lunch available and made daily English & Chinese Program We focus on each child’s cognitive, emotional, social and physical development. During circle time, each program has a native speaking teacher that covers the same theme throughout the day. Sensitive Periods  are a critical time during human development when the child is biologically ready to be receptive to acquiring a specific skill or ability, such as the use of language or a sense of order. Critical Countdown : Early Years are Essential for Lifelong Linguistic Excellence It may surprise you to learn that the optimal time for learning additional languages is during childhood, alongside the primary language . Most linguistic experts agree that the sooner you start the better. Dr. Maria Montessori described the sensitive period for language as a window of time (0-6 years) when people are most capable and responsive to absorbing information. A child’s brain has billions of neurons that are ready to form synapses when they learn new things but if they go unused, they die off. A baby can distinguish sounds of all languages, but an adolescent brain will ignore the sounds of foreign languages making it nearly impossible for adults to achieve native proficiency unless they started learning by 10 years old. What is difficult for adults comes easily for children as they naturally pick up linguistic patterns, pronunciation, intonation and grammar rules. There are myths that children will suffer from “language confusion” or delayed speech or process overload due to multiple language exposure. Recent research has proven these to be unfounded. We teach English, Spanish, Mandarin, and French in preschool so our students do not miss out on this unparalleled period for language learning. How do we teach world languages? We take advantage of the child’s innate ability to absorb information and learn languages almost effortlessly. In class we make language learning fun by including many cultural celebrations, traditional snacks, interactive games, and engaging stories . We can provide a more immersive approach to language acquisition because many of our teachers are bilingual. Peers often converse in their target language too. Students participate in a Chinese circle daily . We also have optional  Spanish and French lessons . We often mirror the current units/themes taught in English so they learn relevant vocabulary simultaneously. Throughout the week students have the opportunity to practice with materials and books that reflect the lessons they were introduced to. We sing songs in multiple languages with actions to reinforce student understanding. Vega Cai Director Ms. Vega is a native Chinese speaker and she is fluent in English as well. She earned her Master’s degree in Language Education and her Montessori credential. Katherine Gonzalez Spanish Teacher Ms. Katherine is a native Spanish speaker that studied child psychology in Colombia and early childhood education in California. She also has plans to continue her studies to earn a PhD in child education. She has worked with children for about 6 years and is very sensitive, kind and helpful. Nicette Montessori Educator Ms. Nice has over eight years of experience working with young children. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and Montessori Education from the Philippines. Known for her energetic and nurturing approach, she finds great joy in supporting each child's growth and development. Passionate about fostering a warm and engaging learning environment, Ms. Nice is dedicated to empowering her students to become confident, independent, and creative learners. Connie Chinese Bilingual Teacher Ms. Connie is a caring and kind Chinese teacher. She holds an Early Childhood Education certificate and has been working in early childhood education in the Bay Area for 16 years. She has served as a Chinese teacher in a large bilingual kindergarten for 13 years, gaining extensive teaching experience. Ms. Connie is Known for her lively and engaging piano circle time, and she places great emphasis on developing children's hands-on abilities and good behavior habits!
