Expansive windows frame peaceful garden views, allowing sunlight to pour into the heart of the home and set the tone for slow mornings and shared meals. Soft greens, warm wood tones, and layered natural textures were selected to reflect the greenery just beyond the windows, creating a space that feels calm, welcoming, and deeply connected to nature.   A Breakfast Nook Designed for Connection A defining feature of this kitchen renovation is the custom breakfast nook designed by Studio SQUIRE. The built-in seating offers a cozy setting for morning coffee, casual meals, and everyday conversation. The intimate scale of the nook transforms an ordinary corner into a warm and inviting space within the home. Windows That Welcome the Outdoors In One of the most impactful changes in this renovation was replacing the existing door with a large window. Designed by Studio SQUIRE, this wine bar blends modern sophistication with a nod to 1920s speakeasy style. The design captures a moody, inviting ambiance, with botanical accents, textured materials, and sleek, stylish details. Each element was carefully chosen to create a space that feels both upscale and comfortable, perfect for intimate gatherings or a quiet evening. The atmosphere is as much about the experience as it is about the design. Soft lighting and intimate seating encourage guests to relax and linger, while the mix of contemporary and vintage-inspired touches create an environment that is stylish yet unpretentious. Owned by Fedric D’Costa and Emily Lund, this space reflects their shared vision of warmth and connection, and every detail has been thoughtfully curated to offer a welcoming experience for all. Designing spaces for kids is always exciting as we aim to reflect their current interests while ensuring the rooms can grow with them. Our client's son and two daughters inspired us to craft their dream bathrooms! The boy's bathroom features a timeless black-and-white theme with geometric handpainted tiles that strike a balance between playful and sophisticated. An emerald green accent wall pays homage to his love for Minecraft, infusing the space with personality. One of the girls adores lavender and geology, so we designed a bathroom showcasing blush terrazzo as the focal point. The eldest daughter, a spa enthusiast, received a luxurious seafoam green handmade tile paired with a classic Heath Ceramics dimensional tile. Our team has had the pleasure of working with this family for years, and we've been itching to revamp their spacious primary bathroom since we first laid eyes on their stunning home. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to transform this space into the ultimate spa retreat that everyone dreams of! Picture this: a double steam shower, a jetted hydrotherapy free-standing soaking tub, and sculptural handmade lighting fixtures that will take your breath away. We also installed heated floors and a host of other luxurious features that make this bathroom the envy of all who enter. We incorporated cutting-edge technology into this space, allowing you to control all of these luxurious amenities with just a tap on your iPhone.  And let's not forget about the view. Our design approach was to capture their distinctive style, which blends their love for home with the thrill of travel. The kitchen and bathroom are replete with exclusive patterns and bespoke elements that pay homage to the era in which the house was constructed. The kitchen and bathroom feature custom tiles that draw inspiration from Moroccan zellige. The combination of natural wood tones and vintage accents imbues the space with a sense of warmth and fascination.     The Heart of the Home: A Custom Kitchen Designed for Gathering The kitchen was fully reimagined as the heart of this Marin County renovation. Handmade tile, custom cabinetry, and rich wood tones work together to create a space that feels both elevated and welcoming.
