Many patients are concerned about the mercury content in silver amalgam fillings, so we have chosen to become a 100% amalgam-free dental office. While the ADA has certified the safety of amalgams, many countries outside of the USA have banned amalgam entirely.We decided it was better to be safe than sorry, and so use composite fillings instead.</p>\n<p>Many dental materials contain BPA as well. BPA is a chemical in many plastic materials that can cause serious health conditions when ingested.
