He is a gift from Walt Disney himself! The cheerful character, mixing features from an ant, Mickey Mouse and the Anaheim "A," came to represent the city's optimism and happiness. After all, at the time the city was known as the "Hub of Happiness," home to the up-and-coming Disneyland Resort. Andy Anaheim was also used on marketing materials given to visitors, encouraging them to shop and stay in Anaheim. Now, Andy's back, bringing you the monthly city news with a playful smile. A big thanks to our friends at the Kevin & Jody Show for helping us keep Andy Anaheim going strong. To learn more about Andy's history, visit the Anaheim Historical Society .
