With over 100 participating resident artists, you will have the opportunity to see new works, discover new favorites, speak with the artists and purchase artwork directly from the artists’ studios. The Artwalk takes place in the Spring and Fall, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm Admission and parking are free. Come and support LA’s finest artists, take home some great works and dine at the on-site restaurant. With the passing of the Artist-In-Residence code, artists could rent live/work space in industrially zoned buildings. We rented only to artists and that is our policy to this day. This exhibit will be on view only during Artwalk weekend. FEATURED ARTIST: POSTER CONTEST WINNER Tanner Goldbeck [email protected] Tanner Goldbeck currently lives and works in Los Angeles. Originally from Baltimore, he received his BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and continued studies at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic art in New Jersey. In 1998 Goldbeck relocated to Santa Barbara to work for the Powell Peralta skate company. His painting influences come from illustration and traditional art history, blended with comics, cars and skate culture. Conceptual inclinations push the art forward. In 2005, Goldbeck moved to Los Angeles to continue his studio painting and started working for West Coast Choppers in Long Beach. A member of the Los Angeles Art Association, he attributes his time in Los Angeles with his love of street art and LA art history. Goldbeck’s art has been shown in solo and group exhibitions around Los Angeles and internationally for over a decade. His work spans a range of multiple disciplines and media. Angie examines the ever presence of media and technology in contemporary society through her work. Bridging the digital and physical realms, Angie’s art engages viewers through faceted explorations. Utilizing techniques reminiscent of low polygon video game art, Angie’s pieces undergo a process of deconstruction and reconstruction. Her work pulsates with vibrant neon colors and angular forms, challenging spatial boundaries within canvases and sculpture. These elements and fragmented figures serve as conduits, seamlessly connecting physical and digital dimensions. Angie Jones resides and creates in Los Angeles, CA at the Brewery Artist Lofts with her steady confident and art critic Bacon theCat. Also on view is a Group Exhibit of some of the Brewery Residents participating in the Artwalk. It is just a small sampling of what you can see during your visit to the Fall Artwalk. This exhibit will be on view only during Artwalk weekend. “THE NEW HOTNESS” – 2024 SUMMER SHOW This year the Brewery Artwalk Association kicked off the summer with their first non Artwalk Show, “The New Hotness” at the I-5 Gallery. Brewery Residents were invited to submit a piece that represented “Newness” to them. It was a great community builder and introduction to our new gallery location. Our mission is to produce, organize and facilitate the recurring biannual event known as the Brewery Artwalk. The Brewery Artwalk is a free, educational, public arts event, designed to create an alternative venue for art exposure. It also allows artists at the Brewery the opportunity to open their studios and connect with the general public, the art industry, other working artists and the community. Families, children, students and individuals are encouraged to view the artists’ work, meet with the artists in person and engage in dialogue about the art. The event is a unique community service open and free to all. The Brewery Artwalk Association By-laws are available as a PDF . Budget Summary The BAA meets regularly on the second Sunday of the month. Artwalk participants are encouraged to attend the meetings to discuss any ideas to improve and enhance the Brewery Artwalk.
