The Roadrunners were led by a dramatic finish in the men’s 1,500-meter race, where freshman Adrian Cuevas surged in the final stretch to secure the conference title. Trailing College of the Redwoods’ Dylan Rodriguez for most of the race, Cuevas made his move in the final 100 meters, edging ahead to win by just 0.16 seconds with a time of 4:10.14. Cuevas’ victory helped propel the men’s team to a dominant first-place finish ahead of Shasta, Redwoods, Yuba, and Lake Tahoe. The women’s team also captured the conference title, scoring 88 points to outpace Shasta, Redwoods, Yuba, and Lake Tahoe in a competitive field. Overall, Butte College athletes claimed 11 individual conference championships on the day. On the track, Brady Johnson won the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:25.55), Carter Kroschel took first in both the 110-meter hurdles (16.16) and 400-meter hurdles (57.19), and Tristan Bobadilla captured the 800-meter title (1:58.52). In the field events, Costantino Thompson delivered one of the top performances of the meet, nearly breaking the Butte College high jump record with a mark of 6 feet, 4.75 inches. Additional men’s field event champions included Kroschel in pole vault (11-7.25), Alex Hancock in both long jump (21-1.5) and triple jump (43-10.75), and Ezzard Teats in shot put (40-7.75) and discus (136 feet). On the women’s side, one of the most exciting races came in the 400 meters, where sophomore Kaitlyn Paul recorded a personal best time of 59.17 seconds to finish second in a close battle with Shasta’s Talyn Hanly. Despite narrowly missing first, Paul’s performance marked a major milestone in her final home meet. Paul also contributed to a strong showing in the relays. She teamed with Malaea Reid, Lindsey Becker, and Ariana Garcia to finish second in the 400-meter relay (51.69) and then helped lead the same group to a first-place finish in the 1,600-meter relay (4:22.57), finishing well ahead of the competition. Other conference champions for the women included Jennifer Johnson in the 10,000 meters (42:46.09), Ariana Garcia in the 1,500 (5:10.62), and Paulina Arias in the 5,000 meters (19:47.68). Lindsey Becker also took first place in the pole vault with a mark of 8 feet. Head coach Jon Hayes praised the team’s overall effort and noted the continued progress of athletes like Paul as they push toward postseason competition. With strong performances across both track and field events, the Roadrunners now turn their focus to the upcoming NorCal Championships in Santa Rosa, where they will look to build on their conference success and qualify athletes for the state meet. ### Media Contact Christian Gutierrez Public Relations Officer Phone: 530-895-2959 Email: [email protected] Butte College 3536 Butte Campus Drive Oroville, CA 95965 Content editor: Christian Gutierrez 530-895-2959 4/30/26 Campus Life Athletics Bookstore Campus Map Dining Services Library Request a Tour Student Life Resources Accessibility Statement Bus Schedule Calendars Catalog Coronavirus Updates Report It Staff Directory Information Accreditation Diversity Job Opportunities Make a Gift Online Classes Scholarships Search for Classes Privacy Policy 3536 Butte Campus Drive Oroville, CA 95965 530-895-2511 English 530-895-2284 Español [email protected] Instagram Facebook Youtube Twitter Linkedin Flickr Butte College does not permit discrimination or harassment in its programs or activities as stated in our Non-Discrimination Statement Your browser does not support JavaScript! Call “911” for anyone who needs medical attention . If anyone is unconscious, it is best not to move them unless absolutely necessary as moving them could make their injuries worse. If you must move injured people, make sure to keep their head and neck supported the entire time. Safely get out of the way of traffic if possible. If your car does not work, turn on your warning lights or open your hood to warn other drivers in the area. Your safety is most important. Report the accident to the appropriate law enforcement agency (i.e. Butte College Police if on campus, Chico Police if in the city of Chico, or the California Highway Patrol if on a highway or freeway, etc.) Do not admit or deny responsibility and do not sign any document unless required to do so by a police officer. Exchange name, address and vehicle registration number with the driver of the other vehicle. (See Automobile Accident Report by clicking here .) Obtain name, address and phone number of any witnesses . (See Automobile Accident Report by clicking here .) Take pictures of everything involved in the car accident , as long as it can be done safely. These pictures should include each car driver, each automobile in the car accident showing any property damage, skid marks, any other damage to property, as well as the location of the automobile accident. The more pictures the better. When in doubt, take pictures. It is a good idea to keep a disposable camera in your glove compartment or trunk. If there are no other cameras available, then you should use a cell phone camera. Pictures may help your automobile insurance company determine how much you should be paid for your injuries.   PARKING CITATIONS If you wish to contest a parking citation issued on our campus, submit a written request within 21 days of the issued date of your citation to the City of Chico, P.O. A gift from the Global Data Registry

When the Global Data Registry crawled https://www.butte.edu/, we found no structured data — the language AI systems use to understand and describe a business online.

Schema is how ChatGPT, Google, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity know what your business does and how to describe you accurately to your customers. Without it, AI systems are guessing.

The most important field in this block is sameAs — a verified edge connecting your website to your permanent record at the Global Data Registry. This is a free, confirmed link to a real verified source. It costs nothing and gives your website a confirmed node in the graph that AI systems traverse when building answers about your business.

Copy the block below and paste it into the <head> of your website. Or drop it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini and ask it to extend it with your full business details — that is the fastest path to a complete schema record.

▶   What is schema?

Schema is a standard vocabulary maintained at schema.org that lets websites describe themselves in a language machines can read. When you add schema to your website, you are telling AI systems, search engines, and knowledge graphs exactly what your business is and how it connects to the rest of the web.
