Sign Up Mobilize Love Serve this summer by helping prepare lunches for kids (Summer Lunches) and supporting community outreaches across the Bay Area. Opportunities include food prep, serving meals, running games, and distributing essential goods. Their after-school program, Mobilize Love KIDS, returns in August 2025! Sign Up County Jail Ministry Join us to provide evening (Tuesday) worship services at the county jail. Sign Up Open Door Legal Serve by using your skills to expand access to justice in San Francisco. He eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully and completely God, sharing all of the divine attributes in a perfect loving community. (Matthew 28:19, John 1:14, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Colossians 1:15-20) Our beliefs Jesus We believe Jesus Christ is the perfect revelation of God to humankind. He is fully God and fully man. We believe Jesus was born of a virgin. After voluntarily coming to earth and living a sinless life, He died on the cross as a substitute for humanity’s sin. His physical resurrection from the grave affirms his victory over sin and death. We believe in the physical return of Christ. (John 1:1-18, Romans 3:21-26, Philippians 2:5-8, Colossians 1:15-20, Hebrews 1:1-4, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 3:18) Our beliefs Holy Spirit We believe in the Holy Spirit, who indwells the followers of Jesus at the point of salvation. He also equips them with spiritual gifts for serving others, and guides them in the journey to become like Christ as they relinquish control of their lives. (John 14:15-26, Acts 2:1-33, Romans 8:1-27, Galatians 5:16-23, 1 Corinthians 12:12-31) Our beliefs Salvation We believe that all who trust in Jesus Christ alone as their Lord and Savior will receive the forgiveness of sins and the free gift of eternal life. True peace and fulfillment in life are only found in a relationship with Jesus. The Scriptures also teach that there will be fruit (or evidence) in the life of a genuine Christian. (John 3:16, John 1:12, John 6:35-40, 1 John 5:11-13, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9) Our beliefs Eternity We believe that human beings will live forever. We believe in a literal heaven and a literal hell. Those who trust in Jesus will live with him forever. Those who reject Jesus will be separated from him forever. “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (John 17:3) Our beliefs Humanity We believe God created humans, both male and female, in His perfect image. Because of our rebellion, we were all separated from God. However, we can all be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 1:18-32, Romans 3:10-26, Romans 5:12-21, Ephesians 2:1-5) Our beliefs Bible We believe the Bible to be completely true and authoritative in all areas of faith and practice. Here are some next steps. I’m so excited that you have an interest in placing your faith in Jesus. I don’t know you personally, but God does and I believe He’s been pursuing you. And whatever it is that has led you to this decision, I don’t think it’s an accident. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. Acts 17:26-27 You are known by God and you can know God. Our sin is what has separated us from God. But Jesus Christ died on a cross to pay for or to cover all of our sins. He took on our sin, so that we could take on his righteousness. He did this because He loves you that much. He wanted you to be part of God’s family, to become a son or a daughter of God. We have sinned. God sent Jesus to pay the price for our sins, so that we could receive forgiveness. Jesus has done his part. Your part is to place your faith in Him. You can pray a prayer of faith right now. “Jesus, thank you for dying for my sins and bringing me into a personal relationship with you. I place my faith in You as my Lord and Savior. May I follow you wherever you lead me.” Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. CTA Button → Getting Baptized An outward expression of the inward reality. Baptism is an important next step after we have put our faith in Jesus. It is an outward expression of the inward reality. What is Baptism? Watch this short video from Pastor Will about the meaning of baptism. Baptism does not make you a Christian. It is a step of obedience once you have placed your faith in Jesus for salvation. Baptism is a visual and symbolic demonstration of a person’s union with Christ in the likeness of His death and resurrection. Baptism is perhaps the greatest way Christians have identified with Jesus throughout history. So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. Acts 2:41 We do not baptize infants at Epic Church. While we do family dedications (asking God to bless the child and the parents of the child), we believe that baptism follows a person’s decision to become a Christian. Why should we be baptized? Jesus Himself was baptized. (Matthew 3:16) Jesus commanded that we be baptized. (Matthew 28:19-20) It shows externally that we’ve been changed on the inside.
