Co-founder of Henry’s Hope, Laurie welcomed hundreds and hundreds of doggies into her home and found them loving forever families. Laurie never said no to an animal in need. She dedicated her life to saving four legged orphans with open arms and her beautiful smile. We celebrate her life’s work and legacy in continuing to save pups in her honor. Until we meet again, dear friend… Donate Give A Gift Foster Learn More Adopt Learn More Dear HHF Family, We are thrilled to announce the launch of “Bubba’s Heart,” a compassionate initiative dedicated to supporting pet parents during their most challenging times—awaiting life-saving organ transplants. We invite you to join us in this heartfelt endeavor. Together, we can bring hope and practical help to those in need and their cherished pets. Warm Regards, Henry’s Hope Foundation In Loving Memory Dedication to Jeff Kaplinski: “Bubba’s Heart” is dedicated to the memory of Jeff Kaplinski, who tragically lost his life in 2020 while waiting for a heart transplant. Jeff’s bond with his Pittie Princess Izzy exemplifies the profound connection between pets and their owners. The Need For Bubba's Heart  Transplant Challenges Staggering Statistics: Every year, approximately 36,000 Americans receive the gift of life through organ transplants. However, the harsh reality is that 17 individuals lose their lives each day waiting for a transplant. Challenges for Pet Parents: Many of these individuals are loving pet owners who face the heartbreaking dilemma of who will care for their beloved pets while they are hospitalized or recovering.  How We Help Support for Pets: Henry’s Hope Foundation steps in to fill this gap. We provide essential care for the dogs of transplant patients, ensuring they are safe and loved during their owner’s medical procedures. What We Offer: Nutritious food and treats for pets and temporary homes with volunteer families who provide warmth and affection.  Join Our Team of Volunteers We Need You: Your support can make a profound difference. Join us as a volunteer to host pets or assist in various supportive roles. Get Involved: If you feel moved by our mission, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Every helping hand brings us closer to supporting more families during their time of need. Our Mission Henry’s Hope Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on saving injured, ill, and discarded dogs from high kill shelters in the Los Angeles area. We are 100% volunteer-based and rely solely on donations and fundraising to achieve our goals towards turning our city, county, and state into no kill. We have partnered up with countless animal shelters as well as Best Friends Animal Society (NKLA) and strive to educate our communities to spay, neuter, vaccinate, and care for their pets for life. We house our dogs in foster homes. We work in conjunction with fellow rescue groups in solving the homeless pet population problem in our cities. Henry’s Hope saves hundreds of dogs each year including those from the Yulin Dog Meat Festival and slaughterhouses in China through partnerships with global rescues. Donate Today! Every penny goes directly to the care and support of our fur babies! Donate Does your dog have a microchip? If so, is it registered to you? Hundreds of animals go missing every single day and more than often the microchips have not been activated! Please go onto www.foundanimals.org and register your dog free of charge and for life! Your veterinarian can check your dogs microchip. Every single penny that is donated goes directly to saving the lives of our furry friends. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are 100% volunteer-based and in most cases the adoption fees do not cover the expense of each dog. That’s why we need Hen’s Friends (YOU!) to keep us going! We also except donated items such as clean blankets, towels, dog beds, pet supplies, etc. Donate Now Giorgia We saved sweet and torn to pieces baby Giorgia back in September 2016. Three months in the hospital and here she is just a few months post adoption. This is what love and never giving up looks like. Giorgio We got Giorgio on his very last day at the shelter. He was 4 months old and sick with pneumonia. Henry’s Hope hospitalized him and got him the best medical care and now he is surrounded by love and the finer things in life. Casey This angel was in the medical building of the shelter at risk of being euthanized because he had a simple foxtail in his paw. The very next day we brought him for surgery and he was adopted a few days later. IMPORTANT : If you choose to donate via PayPal you will be redirected to PayPal.com. Donate We adopted Buddy on April 2016 from Henry’s Hope Foundation and it was the best decision ever. Buddy is such a great dog and we are so lucky to have him. Henry’s Hope Foundation does such an amazing job with all their dogs. Teri is so loving and she makes sure they all go to a great home. She loves receiving updates. Heidy and Ismael There’s a saying, “heroes come in all shapes and sizes”, I found my hero all 18 pounds of him through Henry’s Hope Foundation. They called him Batman…like the super hero, he was calm, cool, and collected, but is ready at a moments notice to bring a smile to your face. I went into the process a little bit uneasy, but then realized imagine how he felt? I know now I wouldn’t have it any other way, and I am thankful he came into my life. The experience I had with Henry’s Hope as a first time rescuer was absolutely amazing. From the moment I first contacted them, to the moment they made me a forever dad, they made me feel at ease and confident with my decision to adopt. The work they’re doing is truly inspirational, I can’t stop raving about them! I keep telling friends and family to adopt because it gives dogs a second chance at happiness, and if they do decide go with Henry’s Hope. Thank you for considering adoption over shopping for your next four-legged family member. Why should you adopt? Every day thousands of wonderful pets are euthanized in shelters across the globe by no fault of their own. More than often breeders are irresponsible and treat their animals in an inhumane way. These poor creatures are overbred and kept in tiny cages. Most are never shown love and affection, never get to play or see the sun, and are housed in unclean and miserable conditions their whole lives. When they are unable to continue making puppies they are generally discarded and dumped in shelters. Most are not even given proper vet care. Shelter dogs and cats deserve a second chance of a happy life. Although many of them are abused and neglected they are very forgiving and in a short period of time their wonderful personalities blossom. Some trust right away and others take a little adjustment time. Rescue dogs are the best! Check out our adoptable pets! Adoption Application Download Adoption Contract Adopt a pet We try to match dogs with the proper family and vice versa. Since all of our dogs live in foster homes with their temporary families and not in a shelter environment, we get a better idea of what they are like in a home which results in a more successful adoption process.   All dogs and cats have been spayed or neutered, vetted, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. There is an application process as well as a home check. All of our dogs are “inside” dogs. We do not adopt dogs out to families who do not let their fur babies live indoors. Dogs are pack animals and do not like to be left alone for long periods of time. After we receive an Adoption Application we will set up a meet and greet. Adoption fees are: $450 adult dogs $650 puppies younger than six months Most of the fees are tax-deductible. We support our men and women who serve our country. Henry’s Hope waives adoption fees for qualified veterans and our military. As Giorgia’s forever family we can say that our little girl was truly worth rescuing! It is wonderful that there are people like the Henry’s Hope Foundation who take in pets with a multitude of scenarios and work to make the perfect combination of pet and owner. When we first met our Giorgia our hearts just melted to think of all she had suffered. But she is a survivor!! She is so happy and thankful to be rescued that she constantly wags her tail and prances around the house with a toy in her mouth. She also gives wonderful snuzzles and kisses. She and our cat Rosie are becoming good friends. Our sincere thanks to Teri and Henry’s Hope Foundation for making it all possible. With our city and county shelters at full capacity our furry friends get euthanized by the thousands every single day across our nation. But you can do something to help. Welcome a furry foster friend into your home. Some foster families are just needed for just a day and others for several months. We are happy to work around your availability. We provide you with a furry friend, food, all the necessities, and you just need to provide a comfortable place to crash, and lots of love and patience. We ask that you are available to bring your foster pooch to our weekly events as it betters their chances of getting adopted faster. I Want To Foster Url Hello, My name is Teri. I’m a volunteer and the founder of Henry’s Hope. I work full time in health care but do my best to respond quickly. Thank you so much for reaching out to foster a dog during this challenging time. Because we’re all trapped like rats in our homes everybody had the same idea and at this point we DON’T have many dogs available for fostering. That could change however. On a moments notice. Because of the nature of reading at risk pets, we may reach out on a moments notice and ask for help. Please respond quickly. We are trying to save as many as we can from the shelters and desperate situations. Please be patient with us. Please remember, we are saving lives. The dogs we get are in need of a TEMPORARY HOME. Their fur color, etc. should not be a factor in wanting to host a dog for a short period of time. If you’re open to fostering a small dog, regardless of breed type, or what the dog looks like, and everyone in your household is on board, please read on... Committed fosters allow us to save the lives of at risk dogs. We ask that you commit to a minimum of 3-4 weeks. We ask that you communicate with us any specific needs you may have. Please let us know who you are and how to get back to you and answer the questions below so we can match you with the right furry houseguest when more become available. Of course we are a 100% volunteer based non profit and money is right so if you can offer to cover these necessities that’s always a HUGE help. All dogs have been vaccinated, microchipped and sterilized unless specified. Please never remove their collar with the ID tag! It is the only way that we can get them back safely if something should happen. Watch the front door. Your pup may try and slip out! Please use extra caution! It takes a dog at least three days to decompress in a new situation. Many of them have been at the shelter or homeless scared in the streets and are very overwhelmed. We ask that you exercise caution and patience. Please give them space and allow them to come to you in their own time. Don’t force them to interact. It takes a dog approximately three weeks to feel comfortable in a new environment and three months to act like themselves. We can only save as many dogs as we have committed fosters for. Please give us adequate notice if you feel that your foster doggie isn’t working out. Since most of these dogs come from the shelter system we do not know if they are housetrained. Please understand that they may soil your home or chew on your things. It’s a big responsibility taking care of a pet. They can comfort us in times like this. If you are ready to start the process then we thank you and we will try to get you as doggie as soon as possible. We can always be reached at 310 985-9944. Thank you for joining our happy rescue! Enjoy and be safe! Teri Facebook X RSS © 2015-2024 Henry's Hope Foundation

A gift from the Global Data Registry

When the Global Data Registry crawled https://henryshopefoundation.com/, we found no structured data — the language AI systems use to understand and describe a business online.

Schema is how ChatGPT, Google, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity know what your business does and how to describe you accurately to your customers. Without it, AI systems are guessing.

The most important field in this block is sameAs — a verified edge connecting your website to your permanent record at the Global Data Registry. This is a free, confirmed link to a real verified source. It costs nothing and gives your website a confirmed node in the graph that AI systems traverse when building answers about your business.

Copy the block below and paste it into the <head> of your website. Or drop it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini and ask it to extend it with your full business details — that is the fastest path to a complete schema record.

▶   What is schema?

Schema is a standard vocabulary maintained at schema.org that lets websites describe themselves in a language machines can read. When you add schema to your website, you are telling AI systems, search engines, and knowledge graphs exactly what your business is and how it connects to the rest of the web.
