Sticky Buttons Calendar News Lunch Our Mission The mission of Roosevelt School is to provide a safe, secure environment in which the staff will model and instruct the virtues which foster the intellectual, physical, and social development of each child to the fullest extent possible in first grade. We also believe that each child will become a life-long learner, ultimately leading a fulfilling life as a productive worker and citizen of the United States and the world. We believe we can accomplish this only through the combined efforts of staff, students, parents, and community. District Mission Statement: "We will find a way for all students to learn.” Roosevelt Elementary Roosevelt Elementary Roosevelt Elementary Roosevelt is a family of all first grade students and staff. The current building was constructed in 1938 by the Works Project Administration under Franklin D. Roosevelt. In 2007, Roosevelt School reinvented itself and became a first grade only school. The school underwent a makeover including new carpet, paint, and improvements to the parking lots and surrounding greenery. With the unique grade configuration of the schools in our district, there is a common thread that unites the students as they transition into and out of the schools throughout the years. Together, they develop strong friendships where tolerance is accepted and diversity is welcomed. The staff takes pride in knowing generations of families. Roosevelt has developed a strong partnership with the community it serves, where high expectations for academic standards, citizenship, community service, recreation, and traditional values are embraced and enveloped in the framework of a caring community. We want to create a crowded table here at Rafer where together we are committed to sowing the seeds, planting a little happiness, letting the roots run deep, and showing love in order to receive love. This song radiates the hope/desire/goal/vision that we want to foster on our campus and the beauty of hearing it from our students' voices confirms that this work we do is worth it. It's so challenging and exhausting at times, but when we can all meet at the table where each of us belongs the work is absolutely worth it. We want our students to leave Kingsburg Elementary Charter School District holding onto the belief that their most special moments that will last a lifetime and have shaped their hearts in the best way were made here with us before we sent them off to the world to be the best they can be! Mr.Pasalakis had the pleasure of taking the Rafer Johnson Jr. High Chamber Choir to Knott’s Berry Farm for their first trip to Music in the Park. After the most incredible performance of the year the choir not only got to spend an entire day in the park, riding rides, eating food, and spending time with their family and friends, but also received the honor of 1st place in the category of Women’s Ensemble with Outstanding Vocalist awards going to 8th grader Molly Reddell and 7th grader Maleah Ortega!
