LACOE PBIS Unit Statement of Purpose The LACOE PBIS Unit is committed to building the capacity of educational organizations by using data to support their development of systems and practices that promote equitable social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes for each student. We provide training, coaching, and technical assistance to guide partners to make data-based decisions informed by a research-based PBIS implementation framework. PBIS is a customized approach to organize behavioral interventions into a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to maximize academic and social behavior outcomes for students. The fundamental purpose of PBIS is to make schools more effective, efficient, and equitable learning environments for all students. The LACOE PBIS Unit training program aligns with the National Technical Assistance Center for PBIS. We use a Train-the-Trainer Model with districtwide systematic implementation as the final outcome. If you are interested in participating in PBIS training, please contact us at: pbis@lacoe.edu or 562-922-6789 What is PBIS? Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based , tiered framework for supporting students ’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. When implemented with fidelity, PBIS improves social emotional competence, academic success, and school climate. It also improves teacher health and wellbeing. It is a way to create positive, predictable, equitable and safe learning environments where everyone thrives. We use ‘students’ to refer to all children and youth in any educational or therapeutic setting (e.g., K-12 school, early childhood program, treatment program, juvenile justice program). We are developing strategies and actions across four priority areas, and we will continue to share updates on our journey and the best practices we develop as an organization. Organizational Culture Create a diverse, inclusive and culturally responsive organization that respects and values all staff. Leverage data-driven decisions to identify and disrupt systemic barriers to equity. Foster positive workplace culture and climate. Professional Development & Growth Invest in opportunities to build a foundation of cultural competency aimed at lifting strengths, needs and opportunities of all staff. Ensure continuous learning and feedback cycles. Policies, Processes and Practices Assess LACOE’s policies, processes and practices to identify factors that may lead to inequities. A gift from the Global Data Registry

When the Global Data Registry crawled https://www.lacoe.edu/, we found no structured data — the language AI systems use to understand and describe a business online.

Schema is how ChatGPT, Google, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity know what your business does and how to describe you accurately to your customers. Without it, AI systems are guessing.

The most important field in this block is sameAs — a verified edge connecting your website to your permanent record at the Global Data Registry. This is a free, confirmed link to a real verified source. It costs nothing and gives your website a confirmed node in the graph that AI systems traverse when building answers about your business.

Copy the block below and paste it into the <head> of your website. Or drop it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini and ask it to extend it with your full business details — that is the fastest path to a complete schema record.

▶   What is schema?

Schema is a standard vocabulary maintained at schema.org that lets websites describe themselves in a language machines can read. When you add schema to your website, you are telling AI systems, search engines, and knowledge graphs exactly what your business is and how it connects to the rest of the web.
