At TMS, students in the math classes have been developing and presenting their own business proposals, Shark Tank Style. 💡
Focused on creating original inventions with an emphasis on social change and positive impact, students applied critical thinking and collaboration skills aligned with the LBUSD Learner Profile. Drawing inspiration from books they’re reading, family experiences, and even a love for animals, students brought creativity and purpose to their products.
Working in teams, they pitched their business ideas by explaining their products, outlining projected revenue, and calculating the break-even point for production costs. To complete the projects, students were given feedback from students and some members on the panel even struck a deal for a percentage in the company.
