This will impact several current Palo Verde College programs. We and other institutions are working to gain clarity on the specifics of this announcement and to determine its long-term impact on our programs. At this time, there will be no changes in personnel, projects or programs related to HSI status at Palo Verde College. While we acknowledge there will be an impact, we want to continue to find ways to support this valuable work on our campus for our students. After an electronic FAFSA submission is processed by the Department of Education, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR), either by email or mail, from the Department of Education. Provided that you have gone through the admissions process at our school, it will take at least two weeks before your FAFSA is linked to your record on the Palo Verde College Financial Aid database. Once received, The Financial Aid Office will use the information to determine if any further paperwork is necessary. Verification: The Financial Aid Office is required to verify and confirm your financial aid eligibility prior to awarding a student their financial aid package. In some cases, additional documents may be required before your eligibility for aid can be determined. This process is referred to as Verification. This is your current president of ASG for 2025-2026 Robert Hope Murillo speaking. I am happy to serve Palo Verde College as a leader for our new upcoming semesters ahead of us. My pronouns are He/Him-They/Them. I am non-binary Transman who have the best of both world of being indigenous along with being Mexican. Of course, I have my struggles with my disability but no matter what that never stopped me striving to be the best of myself and seeing life with love along with kindness.   As a person who has been through hardships within life, my goal is to make every student at PVC have a safe haven/home on our campus while studying and learning hard for their successful pathway of becoming whatever their educational desire is. This means making sure their voices are heard, stories are truly seen and making sure they feel welcome within our campus community no matter what their background, religion, race, sexuality and gender is you, will be heard and your rights will be fought for by me along with my other ASG members.   I’m studying to become a Clinical therapist for children along with adults, as well as working towards my Psy.D to become a doctor within my field. I do have child development under my belt due to wanting to work with children within my own classroom.   I encourage all students to come to our ASG meetings every Tuesday at 11:00AM to listen to upcoming information, news or announcements from clubs or even professors as well. If you ever need someone to hear your problems or a shoulder to lean on, I'm your person. You’ll always catch me on the campus running around doing errands, working for PVC, or even studying. Perhaps if you're lucky, when I have time, I’ll show my true self with creative hobbies. That’s if I have time, of course.   Please remember you are loved, you are truly seen, and you will do such amazing things within this life. Please never give up, you are important. My name is Lillian Jones and this school year I will be serving you as your Vice President. Right now, I am majoring in English, and Arts and Humanities, but I plan on going into Creative Writing when I transfer. As a new college student, I entered PVC with anticipation of what was to come. I feared change and was unsure of my direction, but finding my way was not so hard once I looked around! When I first enter an unfamiliar environment, the first thing I notice is the people who are avid members of that community. The 60 units include those required in the major and those needed for completion on the general education requirements. UC Riverside and Palo Verde College have established a Transfer Admissions Guarantee (TAG) program to encourage students to transfer to UCR and to facilitate that process. UC Riverside is available at http://www.ucr.edu UC Berkeley updated Transfer Summary   Transfer to California State University (CSU): Students planning to graduate from any of the 23 CSU campuses should complete the CSU GE Breadth requirements prior to transfer. Upon the completion of the 60 transferable units and CSU GE, at the student's request, Palo Verde College can certify the student has fulfilled all lower-division GE requirements. It is to the student's advantage to complete the entire pattern before transfer. A Degree with a Guarantee - ADT Cal Poly Pomona Curriculum Sheets & Roadmaps CSU San Bernardino, Palm Desert campus is available at http://pdc.csusb.edu CSU San Bernardino is available at http://www.csusb.edu   Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC): The Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum is a general education program that California community college transfer students can use to fulfill lower-division general education requirements at any CSU or University of California campus. This curriculum provides an alternative to the CSU General Education-Breadth requirements and the local UC GE/Breadth requirements. It is important to note that the IGETC is not an admission requirement nor does completion of IGETC guarantee admission to the campus or program of choice. IGETC Educational Plan   CSU General Education-Breadth Requirements: The CSU General Education-Breadth (GE-Breadth) program allows California community college transfer students to fulfill lower-division general education requirements at any CSU campus prior to transfer. This curriculum provides an alternative to the IGETC requirements, and to the local university GE/Breadth requirements. It is important to note that CSU GE-Breadth certification is not an admission requirement, nor does completion guarantee admission to the campus or program of choice.
