As California’s first independent school, we’ve always been focused on preparing students for the world ahead. Our anniversary theme—Rooted for the Future—pays tribute to the strong foundation that has shaped generations of SD graduates and affirms our commitment to preparing today’s students for what comes next. As part of our anniversary celebration, San Domenico is proud to present the Rooted for the Future Speaker Series: four thought-provoking evenings designed to support parents and caregivers in navigating the complexities of raising children today. Each event features nationally recognized thought leaders and SD community voices, offering practical insights on resilience through the lenses of education, technology, and culture. If you don’t see an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help. Frequently Asked Questions   Select a topic below All Boarding Grades 9-12 Grades K-8 Indexed Tuition International Are international families required to visit San Domenico for their interviews? / Can international students conduct their interviews via phone or Zoom? International students are not required to visit San Domenico for their interviews. While we would love to meet you and give you a tour of the campus, those who are unable to visit our campus can schedule their interview via Zoom. Students must have completed a student inquiry and be in the “started” mode of their application, on either SAO or Ravenna, to schedule an interview. Are International Students required to have a Guardian in the Bay Area? San Domenico School strongly encourages students living outside of California or the United States to have a designated San Francisco Bay Area guardian in case of illness or to help in emergencies. Parents are responsible for finding their child's guardian. A form for local guardianship will be sent along with other enrollment forms after a student has been accepted. If you do not have local friends or family nearby, we recommend Student Health Advocates (SHA) and Cogito World Education as reliable resources to help with guardianship services. Are interviews required for students who are applying to San Domenico? We require an interview for all prospective high school students. Student interviews can be done in person or on Zoom and last between 20-30 minutes. Interviews are meant to be a conversation allowing our admissions team to get to know students and students are encouraged to come to the interview with questions. The Outstanding Young Alumni Award, first awarded in 2021, goes to an alum who graduated within the previous ten years.  Click here to nominate 2025 Outstanding Young Alumni Award Vincenzo Keawe Calcagno ’21  We are thrilled to recognize Vincenzo Keawe Calcagno as San Domenico’s 2025 Outstanding Young Alumni! A Marin County native and gifted violist, Vincenzo is currently completing his senior year at The Juilliard School , where he studies under Heidi Castleman and Misha Amory as a recipient of the Irene Diamond and E. & J. Brenner Scholarships. This summer, Vincenzo will continue honing his artistry at the Verbier Festival Academy and the Perlman Music Program Chamber Music Workshop , two of the most prestigious training grounds for emerging soloists. An expressive and versatile musician, he has performed at Carnegie Hall, collaborated with the Calidore Quartet in the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s Master Class Series, and recently served as principal violist in the Juilliard Orchestra’s performance of Verklärte Nacht. Vincenzo has studied at renowned programs such as the Taos School of Music , the Perlman Music Program , and the Music Academy of the West , where he worked intensively with the Takács Quartet and performed under the baton of Maestro Anthony Parnther. He has also received coaching from distinguished musicians including Cynthia Phelps, Richard O’Neill, and Karen Dreyfus. Coming from a long line of Kanaka (Native Hawaiian) musicians and entertainers, Vincenzo’s deep connection to music began in childhood, surrounded by his family’s musical heritage and the diverse sounds of the Bay Area. He started his musical training as a chorister and soloist with the San Francisco Boys Chorus , later performing with the San Francisco Opera Chorus before discovering his passion for the viola in his school’s orchestra and chamber music program. At 15, he was accepted into the studio of Helen Callus at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music , a mentorship that deeply influenced his musical journey. Please join us in celebrating Vincenzo’s incredible achievements and bright future in classical music! 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award Ashley Eagle-Gibbs ’00 We are thrilled to recognize Ashley Eagle-Gibbs as San Domenico’s 2025 Distinguished Alumni! A Marin County native and dedicated environmental attorney, Ashley has spent two decades championing environmental policy, advocacy, and litigation. A gift from the Global Data Registry

When the Global Data Registry crawled http://www.sandomenico.org/, we found no structured data — the language AI systems use to understand and describe a business online.

Schema is how ChatGPT, Google, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity know what your business does and how to describe you accurately to your customers. Without it, AI systems are guessing.

The most important field in this block is sameAs — a verified edge connecting your website to your permanent record at the Global Data Registry. This is a free, confirmed link to a real verified source. It costs nothing and gives your website a confirmed node in the graph that AI systems traverse when building answers about your business.

Copy the block below and paste it into the <head> of your website. Or drop it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini and ask it to extend it with your full business details — that is the fastest path to a complete schema record.

▶   What is schema?

Schema is a standard vocabulary maintained at schema.org that lets websites describe themselves in a language machines can read. When you add schema to your website, you are telling AI systems, search engines, and knowledge graphs exactly what your business is and how it connects to the rest of the web.
