Through this engaging activity, students learned how to identify the correct waste containers for different materials, reinforcing responsible disposal habits. Ms. King organized the entire project for all Emblem’s students as part of the Science Summer Camp for Elementary School Teachers. Kindergarteners proudly wave flags during our Patriot Day assembly, celebrating and honoring the family members who serve as first responders, in the military, or are veterans. Councilmember Jason Gibbs recently served as Principal for the Day at Emblem Academy, where he is also an engaged parent. His visit brought excitement and a sense of community to the campus, and students and staff alike enjoyed the opportunity to interact with him in this. Nithya Karthik, a student at Emblem Academy, was honored by the SUSD board for her outstanding achievement in mathematics.
